Liam Coen sees more growth ahead for Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence

· Yahoo Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a breakout season in 2025. The quarterback lauded in college as a generational talent had a tough time his first few years in Jacksonville, operating under a rotating door of head coaches and new schemes to learn, not to mention a fair share of injuries. There began to be musings from around the league that Lawrence would end up being a bust.

Yet in 2025, Liam Coen was hired, and under Coen, Lawrence saw immediate improvement. Not only did Lawrence perform well, he was a league MVP nominee, as well as Comeback Player of the Year. And now, looking ahead to the 2026 season, Coen has a lot of optimism for Lawrence's future.

"Going into the process, from watching tape, I was like, 'Alright, this dude is tough. I do think he's tough.' He takes shots, gets up, doesn't say a word, has played hurt, has missed time," Coen said on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

"[He previously had] four new systems, multiple different head coach situations, OCs [offensive coordinators], whatever it is. You go throughout the season, he doesn't miss a single practice, doesn't miss a single throw in practice, played the whole season. Obviously, an MVP finalist, Comeback Player of the Year finalist, did some great things. There's so much room to continue to improve. And I think that's what we're excited about attacking."

Lawrence's 2025 season was one for the history books. He ended the year with 4,007 passing yards, a career-high 29 passing touchdowns — which was fifth in the NFL — 12 interceptions, and a 91.0 passer rating.

Fans also saw Lawrence make a lot of plays with his legs, rushing for 359 yards and nine touchdowns, both career highs. Among all quarterbacks, he ranked seventh in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns.

· Free Press Journal

Mumbai: Facing Rising financial pressure, Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking has formally sought Rs 4,000 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), hoping the proposal will be cleared in the upcoming civic budget. The funds are aimed at addressing two critical priorities, clearing long-pending gratuity dues of retired employees and expanding the bus fleet. BEST currently operates a fleet of 2,760 buses across Mumbai.

Gratuity Payments and Fleet Expansion Target

Officials said a significant portion of the grant will be used to pay gratuity to employees who have already retired or are set to retire by 2027, a liability BEST has struggled to meet independently. The remaining funds will be utilised for fleet expansion, with the undertaking targeting the induction of 2,000 to 2,500 new buses by the end of the current financial year.

BEST has also approached the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries for 1,500 buses under central government schemes, with a focus on electric buses in line with Mumbai’s push to reduce pollution. These 1,500 buses are part of the overall 2,000–2,500 target for 2026–27 and not an addition to it.

As of now, BEST has received 934 out of 4950 buses ordered from three manufacturers. Of these, 734 buses have been delivered by Olectra-EVe Trans, 150 by PMI, and 50 by Switch Mobility.
