Kevin Knight defended the TNT Championship against Chris Jericho in one of the biggest matches of his title reign, especially with a defense against Darby Allin awaiting him at All In. Jon Moxley and Jack Perry also headlined Dynamite in a Continental Cup match, with the winner advancing to the next round. Would the leader of the Death Riders advance while also remaining Continental Champion?
Along with Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega interacting again ahead of their world title match, it was another eventful episode of Dynamite. Let's look back at what happened:
AEW Dynamite Results For August 12, 2026
- Will Ospreay talks about the honor of competing at Arena Mexico last week for Grand Slam Mexico. He recalls being nervous about appearing there last year and tells a story about finding out his grandfather had passed away while on his way to the 2025 Grand Slam Mexico show.
Ospreay says there’s a responsibility that comes with being in AEW, and he’ll leave every bit of himself in the ring for the fans.
He points out that he competed in a Mexico City Street Fight just 25 days before All In to set an example. Ospreay hopes one person was watching from home: Kenny Omega. He facetiously congratulates Omega for being backstage for tonight’s show and calls him out. Instead, Don Callis comes out.
Callis says he needed the perfect tool to exploit AEW, and he found that in Omega. He recalls how he and Omega won the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley in 2020 and how he eventually had to remind Omega “who his daddy” was in 2023. Callis says it was around that time that he brought Ospreay to AEW.
Callis claims Ospreay owes everything to him and questions whether he really thinks he can do this on his own. He says the road to All In is paved in gold but paid for in blood, prompting Rocky Romero, Trent Beretta, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle to attack Ospreay from behind. Omega walks onto the ramp with a metal pipe and quickly takes out the Don Callis Family members to make the save.
Omega teases hitting Ospreay with the pipe but instead tells him that he felt everything Ospreay said. He says Ospreay wears his heart on his sleeve but never thinks things through, which has made him sloppy and a fool. Omega says this isn’t the man he wants to fight at All In and extends his hand to help him up, but warns that he can’t save Ospreay like this again.
Ospreay refuses the handshake and says he didn’t ask for Omega’s help and won’t need it. - A vignette recaps MJF’s return to AEW last week.
- Three-Way Match for the No. 2 Spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In
MJF def. Speedball Mike Bailey and Nick Wayne by submission to secure the No. 2 spot.
After the match, MJF says he told everyone what would happen because the champion always wins. He vows to walk into Wembley Stadium and leave with the Casino Gauntlet contract, and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop him. Andrade El Idolo’s music then plays, only for MJF to reveal it was a prank and call him gutless. MJF then calls out Omega and Ospreay, saying they’ll find out the hard way that he’s the one true champion. - Megan Bayne and Lena Kross stand outside the Brawling Birds’ bar. Kross says the Brawling Birds being undefeated means nothing when they haven’t faced them. Bayne and Kross toast to them before dropping their glasses of beer on the ground.
- Mick Foley interviews the Bang Bang Gang. Jay White says he thought the stars aligned perfectly for him to return at Forbidden Door, but admits The Dogs have gotten the better of the Bang Bang Gang more often than he’d like. White says he’ll beat David Finlay tonight and advance to eventually defeat Jon Moxley for the Continental Championship.

Jay White def. David Finlay by pinfall to advance to the next round. - Tony Schiavone welcomes AEW Trios Champions Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King to the ring. Bandido and King celebrate becoming champions, while Page says it feels great to hold gold again. As Page begins to speak Spanish, Swerve Strickland comes out to the stage.
Strickland questions how three guys he’s had bad blood with are suddenly getting along so well. He brings up how he defeated Bandido and King and how his story always seems to lead back to Page. Strickland questions where his story with Bandido and King goes from here, while Page says Strickland doesn’t have much room to talk about results based on what he’s accomplished in 2026 and how he has nothing to show for his heinous acts.
The Demand come out to the stage, and Ricochet questions what Strickland is doing there since the segment is supposed to be about the Trios Championship. He says Strickland wants people who don’t hate him to watch his back and recalls the history between the Gates of Agony, Strickland and Prince Nana. Ricochet says the current Trios Champions stole the belts from them and demands a rematch before telling Strickland to leave the arena.
Strickland reluctantly walks away and calls Ricochet a “b*tch.” Page challenges The Demand to a title match, but they say it’ll happen on their time. - As Renee Paquette interviews Willow Nightingale backstage, Mercedes Moné strikes her with a championship belt and continues the attack.
- TNT Championship Match
Kevin Knight (c) def. Chris Jericho by pinfall to retain the title. - Backstage, Claudio Castagnoli says the Continental Cup is unpredictable and that they’re ultimately competing against themselves. Jon Moxley says any number of crazy things could happen tonight as he and Jack Perry roll the dice. He questions whether Perry is as prepared as he is.
- Kris Statlander def. Viva Van by pinfall.
After the match, Mick Foley comes to the ring and announces that Statlander will compete in a four-way match for the TBS Championship next week against champion Maya World, Hikaru Shida and Persephone. Statlander says she feels ready to fight and, while World deserves the title, she’ll make Shida and Persephone pay. - Maya World and Thunder Rosa def. Persephone and Hikaru Shida by pinfall.
- Backstage, Darby Allin says he has no regrets about his world title run and believes Kevin Knight is burning himself out by constantly defending the TNT Championship. Allin says he knows how far he’s willing to go against Knight at Wembley Stadium in a Falls Count Anywhere match, and if Knight can beat him at his own game, he’ll know Knight can live up to his potential.
- Backstage, Kyle Fletcher says he looks forward to another title defense at All In. Don Callis announces that Fletcher will defend against two former International Champions, Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada, at Wembley Stadium. Callis says there’s a 100 percent chance his family retains the belt. Okada adds that the only thing that matters is keeping the championship in the family.
